How to Draw a Pair of Sneakers in Coloured Pencils

In this step-by-step coloured pencils lesson, I'll show you how to draw these Converse sneakers (or trainers if you're from my part of the world!) from a blank piece of paper right through to the finished artwork.

If you don't feel confident sketching these out by eye, I've provided an outline sketch below that should be easy to trace (or of course you can just trace the original reference, which is also linked to below).

Materials You'll Need

• Coloured Pencils: I use a set of 24 Faber-Castell Polychromos.
• Surface: Mid-grey drawing paper. I use Strathmore but any brand will do.
• Other Bits: Mechanical pencil sharpener, eraser
